Won-G, Founder of Sovage Premium Denim, has announced both companies will co-sponsor ACT Today’s! 5th Annual Denim and Diamonds for Autism event, benefiting children with autism.
Hidden Hills, CA October 23, 2010 Won-G Founder/ CEO of Sovage Premium Denim and Arif Noor Founder/ CEO of Urban Behavior announce they are proud to be the Denim Sponsors of ACT Today’s! (Autism Care and Treatment Today!) 5th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism fundraiser. The event will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 5839 Jed Smith Road in Hidden Hills, California. The first rate fundraiser provides grants for therapy, biomedical treatments, social skills groups, protective helmets and more for children with autism whose families can not afford the necessary tools for their child to live a productive life or reach their highest potential. Every year, community partners and business leaders generate more than $80,000 in funds to support children with autism. The red carpet event will be held from 5pm – 11pm. The event is produced by D. Plump Consulting.

The “denim and diamonds” charity event is expected to draw 300-400 supporters including community leaders, celebrities and world-renowned autism expert/researcher Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh. “When I began my career, the incidence rate of autism was 1 in 10,000. Today, it’s 1 in 100 children,” says Dr. Granpeesheh. “This is clearly an epidemic. Many children would benefit from treatment, but they have zero access because of lack of funding. This is not acceptable. Autism is treatable.”

The event will include an outdoor silent auction and cocktail reception with live entertainment, followed by a seated dinner buffet program, live auction, dancing and entertainment provided by Bruce Springsteen’s former front man of the Steel Mill band, Robbin Thompson.
